What it does

Six things Google Analytics never quite got round to.

Insights, not homework

Every morning Alexander reads your numbers, finds what actually changed and writes it down in one sentence with the action attached. You read four lines instead of forty charts.

Revenue is a dimension

Not a custom event bolted on afterwards. Sort any breakdown by money instead of sessions and the channel that looked biggest usually is not the one paying for your week.

AI traffic, counted properly

ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity are their own channel, not a lump of referral noise. They convert two to three times better than search. You should know how much of your business already runs through them.

Cookieless, so no banner

Visitors are a daily rotating hash that cannot be joined across days. Nothing to consent to, nothing to store, nothing to explain to legal.

One line, thirty seconds

A 1.1 KB script with SPA route tracking built in. Or point your coding agent at our MCP server and let it install and verify itself.

Real-time, actually

Events land in under a second. The live panel is the product, not a demo tab, including which page each visitor is on and what brought them.

The difference

Most analytics tools hand you a mirror. This one has an opinion.

Alexander watches every dimension for changes that matter, checks whether they are worth money, and writes the finding down with the evidence and the next move. You can argue with it, that is the point. You cannot argue with a bar chart.

It runs on a schedule, not on your click.
Findings are stored rows with evidence attached, not a chatbot guessing at a prompt. The dashboard renders what was already checked.
Every claim points at its numbers.
Click through from any sentence to the exact rows behind it. Confidence is shown, never hidden.

AI assistants send 20% of your visitors and 37% of your revenue.

ChatGPT, Claude together brought 606 visitors worth €2,175. They convert roughly twice as well as search, and they arrive on deep pages rather than the homepage, they have already read your docs before they land.

Do this

Add a plain-language summary block to your three most-cited pages. Assistants quote structure, not marketing copy.

Claude is worth 6× more per visitor than Hacker News.

Claude converts at 2.7% against 0.5%, on 181 visitors. You are currently spending the same attention on both.

Do this

Move budget and posting time off Hacker News and into Claude for two weeks, then compare revenue per visitor here.

€713 from 181 visitors

Watch72%Confidence 72%

62% of visitors who reach /pricing leave without opening the signup.

/pricing is your second most viewed page and carries the most revenue per view, but the drop to the next step is the steepest in the funnel. Sessions that bounce there spend a median of 26 seconds, long enough to read, not long enough to decide.

Do this

Put the free tier limit above the fold and drop the card requirement from the trial copy.

/ is slower on mobile and bounces 16 points higher than on desktop.

Mobile sessions on your busiest page bounce at 55% against 39% overall. The gap appeared after the hero image change and has held for six days.

Do this

Check the largest contentful paint on that page, the hero is the likely cause.

The honest comparison

It is free, and that is the most expensive thing about it.

Google Analytics can answer almost anything, eventually. The question is what it costs you to ask. Here are the three people actually open a dashboard for.

Which channel actually makes me money?

Google Analytics
  1. 1.Reports, Acquisition, Traffic acquisition
  2. 2.Add a secondary dimension
  3. 3.Switch to the monetisation view
  4. 4.Export it and divide revenue by users in a spreadsheet

Six clicks and a spreadsheet, every time you want to look.

Alexander

Sort any breakdown by revenue per visitor.

It is a column, not a project. The channel that sends the most people is almost never the one paying for your week.

Is my AI traffic worth anything?

Google Analytics
  1. 1.chatgpt.com sits in Referral
  2. 2.So does every other website
  3. 3.Build a regex segment by hand
  4. 4.Maintain it as new assistants appear

A segment you have to remember to update.

Alexander

AI assistants are their own channel.

ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity counted separately, with their own conversion rate and their own revenue. They convert two to three times better than search.

What changed this week, and does it matter?

Google Analytics
  1. 1.Put two date ranges side by side
  2. 2.Scan forty numbers
  3. 3.Decide which moved for a reason
  4. 4.Decide what to do about it

The tool shows you the change. You do the thinking.

Alexander

Four sentences, waiting for you.

Each one with the evidence behind it, a confidence score, and the next move. You can disagree with a sentence. You cannot disagree with a bar chart.

House of the Faun, Pompeii

He was thirty-two when he ran out of world.

Two million tesserae in the House of the Faun, and not one of them is the picture. Alexander took the known world in twelve years by reading the ground before he moved on it.

  1. 20

King of Macedon. Inherited an army and a debt.

  2. 22

Crossed into Asia. Never came back.

  3. 25

Egypt. Founded a city and named it after himself.

  4. 30

Persia, from Babylon to the Hindu Kush.

  5. 32

The Indus, and no more world to take.

The internet is bigger than anything he took, and nobody has it yet. Your turn.

Questions

The ones people actually ask.

Do I need a cookie banner?

No. A visitor is a hash of IP, user agent and a site salt that rotates every night, so nothing follows anyone across days and nothing is stored on the device. There is no personal data to consent to.

How is this different from Plausible or Fathom?

Same privacy stance, same lightness. The difference is the layer on top: revenue as a first-class dimension, AI assistants as their own channel, and findings written out instead of charts left for you to read.

Will it slow my site down?

The script is 1.1 KB, loaded with defer, and does not block rendering or touch the main thread beyond a single beacon per pageview.

What happens when I go over the free limit?

Nothing breaks and nothing is deleted. You keep collecting and we tell you. Upgrade when it is worth it to you, not when a counter says so.

Can I get my data out?

Raw event export as CSV or Parquet on every paid plan, plus a REST API and an MCP server so your agents can query it directly.

Why Alexander?

Because the mosaic in Pompeii makes a whole battle out of four colours and a lot of small pieces, which is exactly what analytics is supposed to do, and because the name is easier to remember than a metric.
